If we make a certain promise to our Lord. Lets say, we lose a person for some reason in our life and we pray that , if this person returns, we will stop a bad habit (like smoking cigarettes). And say , the person does return in your life but the person's heart is not with you, the way it was. And after months of not going back on that promise u made to the Lord, you have a moment of weakness and go back to that habit u had (only one day?. If we are truly sorry, and repent , do you feel that God will forgive us and not take that person out of our lives, according to His will.

  1. I suspect 'his answer' would be 'how much do you forgive others'?

We in USA presently seem to be of the mindset, Yes or No. That is notnecessarilt God's mindset.

  2. God doesn't want these petty promises try giving up sin as a promise and you will get everything you ask for and I mean everything! Do not swear to do this or that just do it because its what He wants for us. You can not serve two masters...either love the one and hate the other'''you pick which one you will serve but remember He which loves you will always forgive you because He really does love you the way you want to be loved all others are not Him and can't match up to the true meaning of LOVE. God bless you and love you always

  3. God always forgives when we truly repent.  He knows that we are weak, especially when it comes to our bad habits.  He will never stop loving you.

  4. You can be forgiven.

I would suggest never making promises to God. It causes issues if you don't follow through.

  5. Any sin can be forgiven by God.

However, you should not try to "bargain" with God, saying you'll stop sinning if He does something for you. It does not work this way. You should stop sinning because it is wrong, not because it's just your side of a bargain.

  6. yes...God will forgive you!

He knows we are weak......that's what makes us want to be with Him even more....

in our times of weakness....through Him, we will find strength!

    Pray...or even beg for forgiveness!

The next time that urge comes on.....find a quiet place to go and pray to God....for as long as it takes to resist the temptation.

    Be strong.....hold steadfast!

    God Bless You

    with love...."D"

  7. God already knows our intentions before we commit them.

And making deals with God is road that you make and not God.

Plant some grass in that area and stay on the main road.

And thank God for all the things in your life..

  8. No, God is merciful and forgives!

  9. God will forgive

your best would be to turn everything over toGod
