The Rapture will be pre trib, mid trib or post trib. I am just curious. Personally I believe that we need to be ready no matter when it happens because nobody can say for sure when it will be. of course we all want it to be pre trib.

  1. I believe it is Pretribulation rapture, because as saved Christians it does not make sense for us to have to be stricken with God's wrath with everyone else.

  2. probably PRE tribulation..

  3. I can say for sure it is pretrib.  read revelations.

  4. This is just my understanding, but I believe that the Lord's people (meaning people whose names are in the book of life) will be raptured out before the tribulation begins.

  5. I use to think pre...but going through the book of Rev., I didn't see anything concrete that said that. So I'm thinking either mid or post...

It's something I've decided not to dwell upon too much, since either way it won't matter how I feel about it. I just try to grow in my relationship with Christ everyday, and pray for the strength to get through trials when they come, whatever they may be....

  6. I'm a pre trib man myself...

  7. I don't know what "trib" is?? Sorry, would someone please explain it to me?

If it means do I think it will be before or after Satan takes over the Earth, I believe it will be after, as it says in Revelations. I believe that Satan will rise and take control, in order for God to test out faith completely, and then we will be taken to Heaven...

Was I right? I really have never heard of "trib" before...

EDIT: Thanks, Pastor A, After reading these passages, I stand firm in my belief that it will be "Mid" or "Post"

  8. Amen sister! We need to be ready for no one knows the exact time when the Lord is returning!

I believe that 1 Thess. 4:1-17 is accurate and will be glorious when it happens to put it mildly!

I also believe that we are in the tribulation right now and have been since the resurrection of our Lord and will be until He returns. Satan was wounded and defeated at the cross but God in His wisdom has allowed him to remain for "a short time" as Revelation 20:3 says.

The thousand years mentioned in this passage refer to the completeness of the cross and it's finality. (Numbers in Revelation are symbols that hold deeper meanings. 1,000 years = 10x10x10. 10 is the number of completeness. When counting you start over after you reach ten. So ten x's ten x's ten = 1,000 which is completeness, completeness, completeness. That's what that means). The work of Christ is complete and His defeat over satan is complete!

Some may ask, " Why is he still roaming? Why was he released?" My favorite Bible teacher Malcolm Smith has suggested a couple things I'd like to mention. 1). We are in a mopping up mode now! Satan was defeated at the cross and we are colaboring with God in this period of wrapping things up. 2). We are learning to war in the spiritual realm. The enemy has been allowed to stay that we may become mature and know how to war. 3). God is being glorfied as the reminder that satan was defeated @ the cross is being replayed out in every generation until Christ returns and he is thrown into the fire that was prepared for him. We have victory over him NOW and how sweet it is! And we get to experience that victory every time we stand with Christ in the midst of the lies and attacks!!

There is tribulation and persecution going on everyday on this planet. Example: Brother Jimmy's question -

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

and that excellent book by Brother Yun and Paul Hattaway, "The Heavenly Man"

But the victory is ours in Christ Jesus! We must not be deceived into thinking that the devil can win! He's lost! So let us prepare ourselves to meet the Lord as we stand firm until His coming where we shall be caught up with Him! Amen!

People get ready! Jesus is coming! Soon we'll be going home!

  9. I believe in a pre-trib Rapture.  While there are other verses that support this, the following verses seem to say it all:

Luke 21:34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day [the Tribulation, aka the Day of the LORD] come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to ESCAPE **ALL** THESE THINGS that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

  10. I believe there will be a pre-trib rapture.

For those not familar with this term read:

    1 Thess 4:13-18

    1 Cor 15

    and

    the book titled, "Left Behind"

  11. I think that the rapture will be pre trib because God will want his children out of harms way.

  12. I believe it will be after.

Christ said the time of tribulation would only be shortened for the sake of the elect. To me that says the elect will still have to endure it.

  13. I believe that "the rapture" as it is used by many today is an unbiblical, unscriptural teaching that originated in the 1800's.

Amillenialism is the correct teaching of the end times.

Edit:The conceptual framework for the "Left Behind" series is the so-called "rapture," which is a central aspect of dispensational premillennial views of the end times. Such views conflict with the Lutheran position on what the Scriptures and the Lutheran confessional writings teach concerning the coming of Christ and the end of the world..

The English word "rapture" is derived from the Latin translation of the verb "caught up" in 1 Thess. 4:17 (rapiemur). Lutherans certainly believe what Paul teaches in this passage, namely, that those who are still living on earth when Christ returns visibly on the last day "will be caught up" ("raptured") together with "the dead in Christ" to "meet the Lord in the air."

Some Christians teach, however, that the "rapture" will take place not on the last day but in connection with an "invisible" coming of Christ occurring before a seven-year period of "tribulation" on earth, allowing Christians to "escape" this tribulation and then later return to earth for a literal "1000 year reign of Christ."

Lutherans do not believe that these teachings are based on a proper understanding of Scripture. Scripture teaches that all Christians will endure varying degrees of "tribulation" until the last day, that Christ will return only once (visibly) to "catch up" ("rapture") all believers, living and dead, into heaven, and that all believers will reign forever with him in heaven. Lutherans understand the "1000 years" of Rev. 20:11-15 to be a figurative reference to Christ's reign here and now in the hearts and lives of believers, which will culminate in our reigning with Christ forever in heaven following his return on the last day.

  14. The rapture is in the Bible, so ignore the trolls that say it isn't.  Most of them that say that, are unbelievers anyway and reject the whole Bible.

Anyway, the rapture is pre-trib.  There is proof of this in the Bible, and feel free to email me for more information  :)

  16. maybe it will happen in 2012?

the world won't end, but it's a possibility that something will happen that will change the world for ever..

during that time their will be a new president, I mean if obama is a Christian he will be raptured to, then the world will be looking for a new leader..

    just my thoughts

  17. when i read the bible at Matthew 24:21,22 it says that during the great tribulation no flesh would be saved, God is going to cut it short to preserve the faithful.

If the faithful were rapture out then what difference would it make how long it took.

The rapture doesn't make any sense.

  18. Although no one knows for certain, I've studied the Book of Revelation and I believe in mid trib.  I believe we will be here for man's wrath, but will be raptured before God's wrath.

  19. pretrib, the people who get raptured will not have to experience any of the trib.

  20. I think you have it right. Pray for pre, prepare for post. I've heard convincing arguments for both.

This is just my thoughts, but it seems much of the time, stuff like the tribulation seems to be a last ditch effort to get people to turn from their ways and acknowledge God. It seems like a Christian's job is to share the gospel. It would make sense to me to have Christians ready to share during this time.

  21. pre trib, I don't believe Christians will go through the tribulation.

  22. I am pretrib (because of what Jesus says to the church of Philadelphia) with Midtrib tendancies. Never post trib. The Spirit must be gone from the earth before Satan is free
