  1. If you didn't you would be the only one.... we are all mortal and subject to all the trials and tribulations of this world and we are all weak.... Jesus was the only man who never succumbed to the worlds trials... all any one, Christians included, can do is the best we can... but... as Christians we know that we will not be tested beyond what God knows we can endure... but.... God's  ideas about what we can endure and our own are often at odds... it is the trusting in God that is the hardest part about being a True Christian...

  2. Taking responsibility for your actions is the beginning of coping with these feelings.  Giving your problems over to religion is a bad idea, it only leads to more problems.

I know you don't want to hear "give up your religion" so I won't say it.  But don't wait for some higher power to lift you up, many do and it never comes, instead pull yourself up by the bootstraps and cope as best you can.  If your God is watching, he would be proud, as this would likely be why he made you autonomous to begin with.

  3. Jesus said to make every effort to enter through the cramped gate that leads to salvation - as many will try and not be strong enough. Its fine when your're on the narrow way that leads to life bearing Jesus' easy load - but its difficult sometimes to get into (or back into) that road in the first place...

We have to beware both of the unnecessarily hard burdens of the the Adversary, the world and the sinful mortal body -- and also watch out that we don't choose some path of least resistance which also leads to corruption... Jesus yoke does weigh some, but it is easy to carry too...

Getting unnecessary loads off of us is necessary if we are to take the easy yoke of Christ - friendship with the world is enmity with God - we have to be pure in our motives to reach maturity...

In the OT God says that you WILL find me when you seek me with ALL your heart. David wrote that the heart is deceitful more than all things - All Christians are in a continuous battle with the desire and will of our own hearts while we remain in our mortal bodies...

    Good luck!

  4. Everyone adult with reasonable cognitive skills feels overwhelmed from time to time.  It usually passes.

  5. I'm sure people of all religions sometimes feel that way.

  6. You're feeling overwhelmed by the weight of evidence against religion & deities.

Put down your burden & embrace atheism, you know it makes sense.

    peace

  7. yes....Human life is full of constant problems....when over 50 it gets even worse. Aches, pains,....husband is never feeling well....and is working his butt off.. the weather has been dreary for over 2 weeks

    ugh....everyday i pray for strength

  8. NO I do n ot feel overwhelmed but Jesus said in the End Times we would have turbulence upheaval and perilous times be strong pray and ask Jesus for strength and he will give it to you, be happy that this fallen world will go and our Lord will bring you the Joys of your heart!

    GOD Bless you!

  9. Many times it is hard to live a life of a Christian. However, always persevere. Remember the hope you have in Jesus Christ. Jesus did say that you will face trials when becoming a believer, but what is important is that you are able to persevere even in trials. For in suffering, confusion, and hardships, we should search for God more, we should cry out to him even more. Don't ever give up, for you know your happiness will be with Jesus Christ.

  10. Oh absolutely...

Just take it a day by day.  He doesn't want us to feel that way. Sometimes we just have to remember what is really important, Him, our family and that we are here for His will, not ours.

I find the things I tend to complain about are, in truth, blessings.  He may be trying to get your attention back on Him.

    Matthew 6:33-34

"Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will  worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of it's own."

    Hope this helps!

    Your friend in Christ

also, we are being refined, so that we can be rightous one day.  No one is here on earth, but we have forgivness of sin as believers.  It just makes us a bit more humble when we see our sin...it confirms that we need Jesus. We can't be perfect, only thru Him do we have access to God.

  11. I believe many Christians feel overwhelmed from time to time.  Even Jesus said while on the cross "Why have you forsaken me?'  So yes the world can beat you down.  It's important to remember though that it is not these worldly things that are most important.  It is eternity that we strive for.  I recently went through some really rough times  and came very close to losing one of my children forever to drugs.  It was a very difficult three years in which many horrible things happened.  Many times I questioned if God was even paying attention to my pain.  But each time He answered me with some type of relief specifically for that moment.  This period strengthened my faith like nothing else could have.  And He brought us all through it a stronger family.  So in this world when things start getting overwhelming, just cry out to God for help.  Do what you can do and turn the rest over to Him.  But turn it over with complete faith that He will handle it in His time and according to His plan.  And be willing to accept what He does and know that it is all for His plan for you.  He will be there for you and will get you through everytime.  I know He has for me.

  12. if you really loved jesus corectly, he would use his powers to help you
