Christians: do you place more importance on the doctor or the priest?

excellent question , you will discover, through their answers, how fake these socalled christians are. I have already saw one who said that God put doctors on earth for christians, but she didn't provide the scripture to support her statement.

The problem with this question is that it has nothing to do with reality. You are asking us to compare apples and oranges, thus creating an artificial "problem" to further your agenda.

It's a question that makes no sense. It's like asking "Atheists, do you place more importance on your mechanic or your sociology professor?"

I guess I would place more value on the priest to help my soul and more value on the doctor to help my flesh. Is that the answer you're looking for?

Alot of faith based healing ministries are interpreting God's message wrong. Many of them believe that God heal heal the sick, which He 100% can but if I'm diabetic, should I stop taking my insulin shots because I'm waiting for God to heal me, NO!!! That's why God has the doctors here so they can study sicknesses.

I go to my Pastor for spiritual advice and go to my doctor for anything medical.  Neither one is more important than the other.  They both server their purpose.

I place little importance on either one.  These are both professions that people hold in high esteem.  One of the greatest revelations I received from God is that I am to hold no one in higher esteem than anyone else.  Doctors and priests are humans just like everyone else.  Go to the doctor if you're not well, but also take ownership in your healing process.  Investigate and make sure everything the doctor has done or prescribed is right for you.  Go to the priest for spiritual counsel, but once again do your own homework to make sure that what you are being advised is in line with your beliefs.  Never give anyone total control of your mental, physical, and spiritual health.  Pray that God gives you great spiritual discernment and wisdom.
