  1. You teach your children what to believe in or what to stay away from.  Are your children free to become christians?

I'm glad your children had the opportunity to experience Christ.  Not many atheist or agnostics teach their children to be open to God.

To answer your question, my son has the opportunity to believe anything he wants.  I am going to teach him the christian faith because this is what I know is the truth and he is taught this.

  2. Hi hi,

I teach my children principal, and not to restrict them from making all kind of friends.  Believe me, it is not easy emotionally.

It is not just Christian or non-christian, but as every good parents, we know what kind of kids is best leave out as friends, if we have a choice.  But we don't usually have.

When my grade 4 girl came back asking 'Daddy, what is f@%*?'  I just told her the act of the word, and explain that it is a very private matter and generally people of respectable status will not use it in public, nor use it on other person.

Later, I found out that her friends in grade 4 class use it on teacher.  I told her it is ok to continue to friend of this group of girls, but one must always respect our teacher.  That is a basic principle of been a student.

There are a store of example I can cite, but the bottom line is, as parents, we have the desire to shelter our kids.  But if we don't teach them the basic principle, when they are out in the society, they failed, and we failed too.

By the way, I am a Christian.  I also show them some of the great people who has yet to know God, showing her that not only the Christian who do good, but others too.  In fact, there are bad Christian too in church.

Frankly, I prayed that she will not be so disturbed by the bad apples in the Church that she stop attending. So, to teach her or have personal relationship with God or to block her from bad influence?  For me, the answer is clear, but not easy.

    with words like

  3. My kids see everything, and they are not sheltered.

    Only from danger.

Their birthday parties are like the United Nations.

  4. No, I teach my children to be against the world for the world.

  5. Religious people like to shelter their children from what other people see as right...

but they see it as wrong... so they only tell their children the "wrong" parts.

Then their children grow up to be an intolerant person; a mirrored image of their parents.

    ****

    (((Mommy))) thank you :D

  6. Parents are doing a disservice to their children if they bring them up in religion because when that child grows up and wants to hang out with an intellectual crowd, he will be mocked and rejected.  Then he'll be angry at his parents for brainwashing him.

Parents, give your children education, not religion.

  7. Children - all children - have choice, too.

And the world is here for them to learn from, just as it is for all people.

Choice is hard for all for many different reasons.

  8. They needs protection from the DEVIL, woman. Ya needs to understand that and get some churching up into ya.

  9. If one raises a good Christian, the young one would be INTERESTED in other faiths.

    A child should be curious.

My child will say "Hi" to our g*y neighbor. I can explain two men "in love" & holding hands a lot easier than I can explain some of the other things in this world!!  I guess people have to read the Bible before deciding how to treat g*y people. as people? Maybe it is a SIN to be g*y??? but Jesus loves Sinners too! A good Christian would be upset to have "sinful" homosexual urges. (Who wouldn't be upset?) But we are only human in our urges. We would have to pray for strength... and  virtues...

Oh! I thought you were talking about "older" kids that once grown, were released into the world? Young kids need guidance! Kids need discipline. They look to you for right and wrong. Did you watch "The Crow" movie? Brandon Lee's character says to the druggie prostitute mom that "Mother is the word for God on the lips and hearts of children." This is an interesting quote. A child learns most about God or religion from their parents. I said "most". When kids get older, they have influences besides their parents. But Mom is their first teacher. Mom gives them food, clothes, shelter, warmth, love, and hugs. (OK, Please don't askew this movie quote. It's not MY life quote, just an interesting quote! GOD is GOD and deserves our respect! GOD is NOT our human mothers. It was just an example. He should have put the word "like" in the sentence, but it's more dramatic the other way.)

  10. Oh, ****** no! I am not a christian, but was threatened with catholicism... I would not put the 'wafer' in my mouth, no matter how much the prat squeezed and pinched it! When I asked could he hold it further from his trousers.... cud he bollox!

My kids do go to catholic school(I double checked the clergy there!) I sent them purely on the basis that it would be a 'better' standard of education, as has generally been the case in the UK.... but I didn't count on the anti-christ, aka Anthony Afterbirth Blair. I should have known better, but... wel....but....

He had this magnificent brainwave to tie us so closely to the European Constitution, and the US, whilst feathering his own poxy nest, and that of his bum-chums, and pig-pathetic excuse of a wife, that it is now ungodly, unchristian and racist to have 'exclusive' schooling.... added to the amount of immigration incontrol, and illegality, plus, tbh, he didn't give a flying one(he had been found out by the b'stards who voted him in, albeit, 10 yrs too late!), that he was inept, dishonest, and generally a w'anker, that my children's school budget, funded mainly by the Parish Council, monetary donations by parents and a couple of pence from the local education authority, ran out in January of this year. Possibly because they were 'forced' to accept 30% of non-catholic, immigrant children of disinterested, foreign languaged... and unwilling to change that for either themselves or their children/weapon toting thugs.... the majority went on 5 different interpreters, specially drafted halal chefs, and watchdogs, to ensure that the b'stards, b'stards, were escorted to and from the school, not for their safety, but that of the local residents!

So, my christian children, now have to gang together, as I am sure the christian's did when cinfronted with lions... to defend themselves, get recognised in their school(the alternative is an 89% asian school, whose 'first language, in their english school, is punjabi I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST RACE, RELIGION, OR CREED! I do disagree with ghettoism! It didn't work in 1960's America, and it won't here!), and be marked on their merit, not the necessity for school funding!

  11. A better question would be:

"Why are some Christians afraid of diversity?  Why do they think those who think differently are to be considered evil"?

  12. No, unfortunately my kids got involved with the wicked and the wicked pulled them down the wrong road so waiting all these years for them to return to Christ.

  13. no

  14. I have no children....so I wouldnt know
