when you put your heart on heaven and see that she is really nothing. But you really married because you are lonely, or just wanted to get laid and try it out. How can it be love with out heaven? What would God say about your love with one another.....you should seek him and find out. Maybe he would lead you to 1 John 2:15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. For any that love the world THE LOVE OF THE "FATHER" is not in you.

so how do you know your woman is not the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes? How do you know the love of the father is in you?

  1. just something you wouldn't understand

  2. thats why you have casual s*x. gods not real

  3. looking back in biblical history with some of the marriages, i'm sure there wasn't a lot of 'love' in them. After all, there wasn't a real sort of dating system or anything. sometimes they were even arranged...I think you'll just know when it's actual love, though. if you're still not sure then pray about that girl to God...

  4. Think about your spouse on the bed with tubes and unable to walk talk etc - will you stay by her side or will you walk - then you will know the answer. You don't even have to be christian to answer that one.

  5. Lust typically doesn't last for 40 years.

  6. paul says it's better to marry than burn with passion.if it can be helped do not marry for you will have trouble you will be torn the things of GOD and your spouse.

  7. Because if my husband became unable to have sexual intimacy with me due to a physical or even mental problem, I would still love him and stay with him.

We do not lust for each other.  We have desire for each other.

  8. you really should work on this "speaking for yourself" thing.

I guess since I'm not christian I am not bound by the same rules... or something.

when I put my heart and focus on God, I see that he has given me my perfect help-mate in my spouse-to-be.  she supports me spiritually, physically, in every way and we compliment each other perfectly. only God could have given me the gift of having such a wonderful person in my life.

    >"Maybe he would lead you to 1 John 2:15."<

not likely, but you wouldn't believe something else anyway would you?

    >"For any that love the world THE LOVE OF THE "FATHER" is not in you."<

perhaps the problem is that it is not the world that I love, but who she is.

or perhaps its that I have no more interest of having the "love of the father" than I have interest in having the "Love of Thor" or Athena perhaps. or the Love of Vishnu.

    >"so how do you know your woman is not the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes?"<

for those who have truly been in love, the answer to this is absurdly obvious.

  9. When its love you just know. It applies to anyone.

When its lust your like no, its not or it might be.

  10. You know that it is real love when you can go without it and still love the woman for who she is. The same with God, You know that you have a real relationship with Christ when you feel that you are all alone, yet you know for a fact that God is right there beside you.

  11. They do not know and despite being Christian with the sanctity of marriage, Christians are grossly over represented in the divorce courts.

    Yet more hypocrisy!!
