Christians why fight with each other & people of other faiths when we can upbuild each other ?

Why do we as Christians argue with each other , waste time arguing points with Atheists , Muslims & other when we could use this site to build each others faith & build bridges between our faith & that of our fellow Christian ,Muslim & Atheist (& many other faiths) Brothers

I see this site as a way to help each other ,not fight .

Yeah I know what you mean, I see it all the time too. It's not just Christians who fight, it's many different people. I would like us to upbuild each other too but I doubt it will ever happen.

A good study, as our brother has mentioned here, is edification. Which I do believe is, and has been, lacking in the common practices of our individual churches, whatever denomination.

Ought we not be building each other up with admonishing to greater faith?

To a greater understanding, a genuine love?

Yet, there must be an adherence to truth, and this is our common aim- to know the truth, and the One that IS the Truth.

Is it not?

Along with truth, MERCY must be written on our hearts.

Let's see here, what the axium that the golf pros use, "It's the nature of the game, an uphill battle."  For the Belivers of Jesus Christ, it is not an arena of battle against evil or disbeleif.  At least this avenue should not be used that way!!  You might need to re-read your Bible though, because it states that we are to go into ALL the world (YA,R&S as well) and preach the Gospel, lay out the information of God's Love.  No to argue or put others beleifs down and surely not to say destructive things about any one, that is not what God has in mind for us to do.  But.....when someone, on purpose, disrespects my Lord or blasphems His name, I will let it be known that this is wrong as well.

Of course, at this point, the other individual should at least be respectful of my Beliefs as well and then refrain from further insult and injury.

                 Un-fortuneately........this is rarely the case!!!!!

That being said, I will continue to rebuke them and let them know that they need to be respectful of others as well, their opinions are exactly that............their opinion.

As I have stated before, I am always open to debate, just be respectful as I try and be respectful of you.

You are right in most ways, but we need to stand up for the Lord at EVERY turn!!!    Mary Madeline O'hare got prayer in school removed!!  Other people want to remove "In God we Trust" from everything that presents it and that is also wrong.  If you don't like seeing it or hearing it, don't look at it or listen to it, I do the same with the postulations of others and their rhetoric.  Do you see what I mean???  Lets level the playing field here, let's get along harmoniously, with out all the dicension and antics or foolishness.  Is that so much to ask???
