Why in the world are they showing Christmas-related movies and tv shows IN JULY?! It's been on House and Lifetime recently more and more and nevermind the fact that it's almost August not DECEMBER! What are these tv networks thinking?!

Christmas in July marks the 'only 6 more months' till christmas. It's just a excuss for sales.

Because it's Christmas in July. This has been going on for many years you probably just didn't notice it until now. Many networks such as QVC and HSN have a big Christmas in July sale as well as many stores and Internet sites. I guess these markets thought they didn't make enough money by just having one Christmas so why not have two. Weird I know but I love it!!

It is a vast conspiracy with the shopping networks and retailers to get consumers to open their pocket books and pad their profits. LOL

It's the six month marking period from last Christmas and to next Christmas. A lot of TV shopping channels (QVC, HSN) have it as both a money maker and a reminder that Christmas is in six months...haha, so start shopping now! It serves as both a reminder of "better" times and the promise that it's coming again soon. Haha, but I know what you mean...I'm like "SNOW?! But it's JULY!"

For many people Christmas does start in July. If like myself you make and sell jewelry and other items you need to start now to be ready for the holidays. If you are ordering Christmas merchandise for a retail outlet, Christmas decorations and candy, right now is when you are finalizing the orders and arranging the delivery dates.

Believe me it is very hard to order Christmas candy when it is 120 outside.

actually, they do that because of the seasons are opposite, and some people like to think of christmas and stuff because of the whether,

cuz they would rather prefer of the cold wether unstead of the hot whether..
