  1. Always a special time of year for me in Acapulco.

Christmas eve is the big celebration here in Mexico. I attend multiple parties that go well into the night (3 / 4 am ). One is a party where 2 ENTURE lambs are in a cauldron lined with banana leaves and cooked for 24 hours - meat falls off the bone. On to another party where food and drink is served ! on and on................

New years eve is marked by the navy lobbing fireworks over the mountain range( they are actually stationed on the other side of the mountains from the main city )  and into the bay of Acapulco. The loud thuds are heard well before the rounds appear about 10 seconds after.Just something you have to experience. At midnight they start coming in and then the hotel rooftops start to join in............ Man all the fireworks and party on the beach. Goes on ALL night. Fireworks reflect off the water and then the main drag is shut down for the nights activities MAN ! What a event. 90 degrees ,in shorts and beer, on the beach in Acapulco , with fireworks, with a few 1000 of your close friends - now that's a party !!!

  2. Get drunk!

  3. Start shopping around.....best bet is to find a vacation package that works for you.

  4. as you like? beach or any colonial city? if you recommend beach Acapulco, Guerrero the Hotel Grand Mayan tmb this hotel is in cancun

or any colonial city I recommend guanaguato, queretaro welcome to mexico

  5. I receive 2000 in Acapulco and believe me is a magical experience. Is is great if you buy a ticket to dinner at the beach where people meet to hear music, dance in the beach, drink, admire the fireworks, and get wet in the ocean. Any hotel in the tourist area like the Hyat offers this special event 1 month prior to New Years Eve and dinner is about 150.00 per person.
