Christmas in Edinburgh!?

Question

My boyfriend and I really want to spend Christmas together in Edinburgh this year, planning on staying about a week through Christmas and New Year...this will be costly!! Lol! Just wondered if anyone had any tips/advice on hotels/b&bs/flats etc and if anyone knew of any special deals for staying this time of year? I realise it will be very expensive, time of year, but any pennies we can save are a bonus!!

I stayed at the EQ-2 apartments a few years back just before x-mas. They are great, in a good location and they are serviced. I would suggest booking something as quick as you can coz it does get completely booked up. There are also the fountain court apartments. These are in the same place as the EQ-2 but slightly cheaper as they are only a 3-4* where the EQ-2 are 5*

Special deals? You'll be lucky to find anywhere at any price if you leave it much longer - this is Edinburgh's biggest party of the year. I'd suggest you get booking as soon as possible.
