  1. Well I live in Rome GA. But i'm guessing that you mean Italy. Cause there is little to do here even on a good day!

  2. Rome is beautiful for Christmas. The streets are full of lights, and the shops are showing their best face.

The center is usually overcrowded, but it still makes for a nice walk, and it helps that the weather is never too cold.

For Christmas, I would suggest you go to mass in one of the many fascinating churches in the center. S. Agostino is one of my favorites: http://romanchurches.wikia.com/wiki/Sant...

not too crowded, with paintings from Caravaggio and Raffaello and a wonderful interior.

All restaurants are open, don't worry.

  3. Hi Wexton, I live in Rome. During Christmas time the best places to go are surely Via dei Coronari (a streets full of art galleries and design shops), the Spanish Steps area, St. Peter Square, the Trevi Fountain and Via Veneto.

My favourite restaurant in Rome is Checchino dal 1887, quite expensive but very good.

    This is the website:

    Other good restaurants are:

    - Giggetto al Portico d'Ottavia

    - Sora Lella

    - Meo Patacca

    - Hostaria dell'Orso (quite expensive)

I think all of those restaurants are open in Christmas day.

Here you can find the best pizza:

    - La Gatta Mangiona

    Via Ozanam, 30

    tel 06.5346702

    - Pizzarè

    Via di Ripetta, 14

  4. Restaurants are open on Christmass Day. If you are a catholic, you may want to attend the mass by the Pope. Visit the fountains of Trevi, throw some coins and make a wish. Do this on Christmass day of course.
