Christmas music at December Wedding??

Do most people play Christmas music at December weddings? We are planning on having our wedding two weeks before Christmas and I just don't know what kind of music to play. At any other time I wouldn't really have a problem but since it is so close to Christmas, I just don't know whether to play like Christmas Carols or other music... what do you think?

  1. I think it would be a little tacky. Stick to the traditional wedding music, like the chicken dance. LOL But avoid at all cost Christmas music.

  2. I went to a Christmas wedding and they had Christmas music and later on had Christmas carolers. It was beautiful and I thought out of all of the weddings I have been to, this one was really creative. One other thing, her cost for decoration was minimal because the places that she was looking at already had Christmas decorations and she just had to add a few more.

  3. You could totally play them if it's a X-mas themed wedding. If not then I'd break out the hustles and Cha-cha slide and break it down old school :)

  4. I believe it's absolutely whatever you'd like to play.  I've performed many December ceremonies that did not include Christmas music - some ceremonies have traditional classical choices and some have had modern pieces, particularly for the recessional (pop and rock included).  It's your wedding so make it special for you!

  5. I know if I went to a wedding around Christmas time and there wasn't Christmas music, I'd be a little dissapointed. Christmas music just puts everyone in a wonderful mood! You should deffinately play some.

  6. I've been to two Christmas weddings. Neither of them played Christmas music, but had traditional wedding music/sacred music instead. However, I think that Christmas music would be lovely. Especially before the wedding. Maybe carols on the organ or chimes?  What an enchanting idea!

  7. I'd skip the holiday music and just play tunes you'd play any other time of year.

  8. I think its a great idea, as long as they are no jews

  9. When we first got engaged, I thought about doing a Christmas theme wedding, and I love Mariah Carey, so I was gonna use "All I Want For Christmas Is You" to walk down the aisle to LOL....I think it's perfectly ok to use Christmas music at your wedding, but you may wanna include some non-Christmas music too.   Good luck, and congratulations.

  10. Actually thats not a bad idea. Dont go overboard on it, just throw in a few favorite songs. That'd be nice I think
