What do you recommend for games, gift limit, exchange ornament ideas, and whatever else I missed.

Thanks.

  1. If it's coworkers, limit it to 10 dollars, family members maybe 20 dollars.

I have done an ornament exchange before, with a limit of 5 dollars, for co-workers at a school (teachers and staff) and that went over very well.

One year at the school we did socks...just socks...for the theme, and it was really fun and funny.  People were really creative and it was so fun.

We put all the gifts, wrapped, in the center of the room, and people had drawn numbers for which order they got to choose.  You could choose a wrapped gift, or else take one that was already opened from someone else.  If your gift got taken, you then got to go choose another unwrapped gift, or take one from someone else.  This goes on until everyone has a gift, and all of them are unwrapped.  It's pretty fun.

  2. Depends on the crowd... is this family?  Coworkers?  Group of friends?

That will determine your amounts to spend, what games to play, etc.

Basically, we need more details on the group.

  3. Since you're doing a name exchange (grab bag/secret Santa) I would keep the limit to 20 bucks - that's a nice budget for that - as for the games, why not play charades stick to Christmas catagories (reindeer, santa etc...)
