  1. How is your memory for exact words?  Scrooge is hard - lots to memorize.  Scrooge is onstage for most of the play.  So, it depends on your goal.  If you decide to try out, the director will decide which part you will get, although you may get to choose which part to read at first.  Are you willing to take any part you are given?

Acting doesn't require IQ or academic intelligence, but it requires a great deal of social intelligence, being able to observe and analyze subtle social cues or differences, to portray and react to them, and a good sense of personal boundaries, so that you stay on task.

So:  memory, observation, playing well with others, and being willing to do the role you're asked to take - if that sounds like you, go for it!

  2. Your G.P.A has nothing to do with your ability to act.  Scrooge is a pretty hard part to play- especially at your age.  You have to be able to play all emotions.

  3. this a great part, you should try out for it ,and it do take brain to act,and with this part you will need some...you have to be happy, funny sad, angry, and afraid at the same time..if not try for bob crachate,or nephew fred, these are all great parts,or an angel...just go try out and see what happens...break a leg ..

  4. ok... just because you're smart doesn't mean you're a good actor. sorry, but it's the truth. I'm not saying that you aren't smart or that you're a bad actor but acting doesn't require a certain GPA. Go try out, if you make it have fun. if you show up and don't think the play is for you then leave. Just try it out.
