Christmas wish list for Premier League clubs part 2
Continuing the Christmas wish list for the Premier League clubs here is second part of the wish lists.
Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn have been faring pretty well in the league this season and are currently occupying a mid table position in the league.
Although Sam Allardyce was sacked by the new owners of the club in controversial circumstance and perhaps it the wrong decision on their part as Big Sam was a very popular with the fans and supporters of the club and has a proven managerial record with Bolton.
Given the funds Sam would have transformed the fortunes for Rovers but unfortunately the Venky’s group did not have the same faith in Big Sam and he was shown the door.
Blackburn’s first team looks pretty decent barring a few positions that may need some reinforcements in the January transfer window. Michel Salgado is nearing retirement age and Blackburn will be looking to bring in a new full back to replace the former
Real Madrid star.
Blackburn also do look short in the striking department as they have never been able to replace the goal scoring talents of Roque Santa Cruz and may need to buy a new striker.
This Christmas Blackburn will be knocking on Santa’s door for:
A new head coach and a suitable replacement for Big Sam A striker Full backs
Blackpool
Since achieving promotion to the top flight this season the Seasiders have been flying high and have already claimed some famous wins in the league under their inspirational manager Ian Holloway.
Blackpool are currently in the mid table and if they can conjure some more decent wins they are guaranteed to stay up.
Ian Holloway has assembled a very good side that knows its limitation and is currently playing very well but some of his star players have been the centre of transfer attraction and his top priority this January will be to keep hold of his priced assets.
Blackpool’s home ground, the Bloomfield Park only has a capacity to hold a crowd of 16000 people and if they manage to stay in the Premier League, which they are on course for, then they must also be looking to increase the capacity of their stadium.
Blackpool's wish list:
To keep hold of important players To expand their current Stadium
Bolton Wanderers
Bolton Wanderers have been living a charmed life in the Premier League this season. Their fortunes have been drastically reformed since Owen Coyle took over as the manager of this club and a glaring testament to this is the fact that they are closer to a
top four than Liverpool is.
Bolton have changed their style of play and are reaping its rewards, players like Johan Elmander have been banging in goals left, right and centre and the result is that team is enjoying one of its best spell in the Premier League. However, there is always
flip side to performing well in the league. There will always be greener pastures for star performers elsewhere and same is the problem for Bolton.
With the manager needing funds to bring some necessary tweaks to his squad he will be forced to sell some of his star players as Chung-Yong Lee, Gary Cahill and Johan Elmander are on radars of several footballing scouts and will be hard to keep hold of.
Bolton's wish list:
To keep hold of their priced assets Remain playing the same attacking football for the rest of the season
