The former Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid player insisted that he gives his maximum efforts in training all year round in order to earn a starting berth, and is confident to get a run in the first team
Schalke star defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christoph-Metzelder-c9168 stated that he is fully determined in the practice sessions irrespective of his status in the team. He stressed that he is hoping that he gets an opportunity to show his worth to the coach
Huub Stevens and prove that he can still be banked upon.
The veteran conceded that he is desperate to wear the blue jersey again and play more regularly. He feels that he is an asset to the club and is not just a helper in training. However, he said that even though he can still play

with the outcome this time and will try to get his spot in the near future.
“As a 19-year-old, I edged out Jurgen Kohler and Alfred Nijhuis and now ultimately the same thing is happening to me. But I’m not one to feel sorry for myself as a result. As long as I’m at Schalke, I’ll give everything for the
team, no matter whether I’m in the starting eleven or not,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Schalke will travel to Borussia Dortmund on October 20 and it will be hard for the experienced man to take part in the match but will hope that his side edges the defending champions on the occasion. Die Knappen are currently third
