The Paris Saint-Germain captain believes that the win against LOSC Lille last night is the start PSG needed, and things will only get better from here for the capital club
Les Parisiens finally ended their winless run in the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign after defeating Les Dogues at Grand Stade Lille Metropole, this Sunday.
And the win has pleased club captain, Christopher Jallet, who wants to build on from this win.
While talking to reporters after his side’s impressive victory against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international stated that the win has restored players’ confidence and he expects positive results from now on.
Lille played an impressive game of football and Jallet believes that the Parisiens did well to cope with the threat posed by Rudi Garcia’s side.
"It had been a while, so it feels good to get back to winning ways. It was a tough game but we did reasonably well.”
The 28-year-old added that tonight their season has really begun. The oil-money-fuelled club from Paris failed to get maximum points against Lorient, Ajaccio and Bordeaux, and the Parisiens were in a dire need of a victory.
And after registering their first win of the current campaign, Jallet believes that to win at Stade Grand Lille Metropole is just amazing and hopes to build on from here.
“Perhaps tonight marks the real start of our championship. Winning is always pleasing, especially in such a big match,” the 29-years-old told reporters.
The club captain stated that his teammates played really well in the match and PSG deserved to get all three points from the game. The win is great for players’ morale and Jallet expects the Ile giants to perform to their best in the up-coming games.
“I think our performance will give us the confidence to go on with things now. We just needed things to click and I hope this is the start of a long run of positives results now."
