Paris Saint-Germain are set to take on a fifth-tier opposition in the Round of 64 of the French Cup, and the PSG full-back has warned his teammates against taking their opponents lightly
Les Parisiens’ budget is a lot more than that of their upcoming opposition in the French cup. However, football is a funny game and even a team that has an annual budget of 400000 Euros a year as compared to PSG’s 300 million Euros a year, has the ability
to cause an upset on the pitch. And that’s what http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christophe-Jallet-c9179 wants to avoid.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international was talking to reporters after a training session and when asked about his views regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s upcoming game against Arras in Calais, the 29-year-old said that Paris Saint-Germain are taking nothing for granted.
The Frenchman said that it’s a very big game for their opposing side and they will give their all on the pitch againt the Ligue 1 outfit, and PSG need to be at their best in order to avoid a humiliating and shocking defeat.
“It's a big and rare event for Arras to play a team like PSG, it'll be the match of their lives, and if we were in their shoes, we'd react in the same way," the ex-Lorient defender explained.
Jallet added that it will be a good game for Paris Saint-Germain ahead of their second half of the season and sai that this is the charm of playing in the French Cup, where even a team from fifth division can play Ligue 1 leaders.
"It'll be a good game for us, because our opponents will give it everything. That's the charm of the French Cup, even if Ligue 1 teams sometimes come a cropper against smaller sides.”
The 29-year-old said that he and other players know the importance of the game and they are not taking this match easily. Les Parisiens will respect the opposition and will give their best on the pitch.
"We're going to try and avoid falling into the trap. It won't be an easy game, but the best way to respect this team is to give our all in the game."
