Christopher Burckle captures Men’s 200m breaststroke gold – 2012 Southwest Classic Invitational

Christopher Burckle of Ford Aquatics-AZ captured gold medal of the Men’s 200m breaststroke at the 2012 Southwest Classic Invitational in Tucson, Arizona on Saturday, May 5.
The 24-year-old Burckle served notice of his talent by snaring the crown of the distant breaststroke discipline. With his impeccable efforts, he remained in a prominent lead over his challengers and stepped on the medal rostrum for gold medal.
He enjoyed an advantage of more than 10 metres over his strongest challenger and reached the finishing end for gold medal with the timing of 2 minutes and 16.74 seconds.
He was followed by Carl H Mickelson of Arizona-AZ, who stayed nearly 10 seconds apart and tapped the wall for silver medal by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 26.34 seconds.
Mickelson was trailed by Russ R Payne of Santa Clara-PC, who remained 0.24 seconds slower and emerged on the finishing end for bronze medal by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 26.58 seconds.
The third position holder was trailed by Kevin W Cordes of Arizona-AZ, who stayed 0.70 seconds apart and finished his swim in fourth best place by reporting a time of 2 minutes and 27.28 seconds for fourth position.
Fifth best position of the discipline was secured by Ed E Moses of Uford-AZ, who was 0.94 seconds behind and completed his swim in a time of 2 minutes and 28.22 seconds.
Subsequently, the crowd witnessed gruelling efforts of Eric M Solis and Kevin A Munsch, who tried to surpass each other for the seventh position. The 20-year-old Solis succeeded in outperforming his rival for the seventh position as he posted a time of 2
minutes and 31.53 seconds.
On the other hand, Munsch stayed 1.21 seconds slower from his former finisher and hit the finishing end with the timing of 2 minutes and 32.74 seconds for eighth position.
The crowd appreciated ruthless efforts of all participants in the 200m event whereas the winners received awards and accolades for their commendable efforts after the session.
In addition, the session came to an end after the completion of all planned events in Men and Women’s category.
