East’s young gun, Christopher Burckle smashed his rivals in the puddle on the second evening of the 2011 Pro Dual Meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Thursday, November 17. Burckle put up a wonderful show and exhibited his skills in the arena to claim the Men’s
200m breast-stroke crown.
Christopher Burckle, the victorious swimmer in 100m breast-stroke, was again the hot favourite to clinch the Men’s 200m breast-stroke against his rivals. Christopher Burckle’s challengers consisted of West’s Elliot Keefer and East’s BJ Johnson. The match
began in thrilling fashion, as all swimmers of the respective clubs were confident to beat each other in the swimming puddle.
East’s Christopher Burckle splashed hard and produced breathtaking turns in the pool against his contestants until the final turn. Consequently, Burckle went on to clinch gold medal by knocking the finishing divider in a scintillating time of 2 minutes and
15.11 seconds in the Men’s 200m breast-stroke race.
In the meantime, Burckle’s rivals including Keefer and Johnson pocketed silver and bronze medals in the respective by banging the finishing wall in a winning time of 2 minutes and 15.98 seconds and 2 minutes and 18.83 seconds, respectively. In addition,
Matthew Lowe of East continued to impress the arena due to his scintillating turns in the swimming puddle and consequently he earned fourth place honours in the respective race by smacking the finishing hurdle in a time of 2 minutes and 21.46 seconds.
Last, but not the least, West’s young gun, Nelson Westby performed well throughout the splash and grabbed fifth place by thumping the finishing blockade in an impressive blot of 2 minutes and 28.18 seconds. Christopher Burckle, Elliot Keefer and BJ Johnson
were delivered with gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, along with cash prizes after the session’s completion.
