Christopher Columbus' Expedition!!!!!

I recently got a new project from my US History class. I'm not exactly sure what to do. I know the basic stuff about Columbus, but I'm not sure EXACTLY what makes him sooo widely-known; tell me everything I need to know about Christopher Columbus! PLEAASE! FIVE POINTS IN STORE!!!! :]

Start thinking and reading about something called the Columbus Exchange.  The Americas were changed permanently because of that encounter.  Good luck.

i really don't remember a lot about CC, but i believe the reason the Indians were mistreated was because of him or something.
