http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christopher-Samba-c9212, the 27-year-old Blackburn Rovers defender, insisted the manager Steve Kean was not to be blamed for the poor results this season.
Instead, Samba claimed the players were to be blame for the string of poor results which sees them in the bottom half of the Premier League table. The supporters however, don’t seem to feel the same way as their “Kean Out” posters show.
A section of the supporters have decided the reason for the Rovers’ poor form is the Scottish manager and have called for his removal. Their organized protests were big enough to get out of hand and had to be banned at Ewood Park.
Samba did not agree with the trend of blaming the manager for poor form and urged his teammates to stand up and take the blame. He was certain the manager, who had been in charge some 12 months was not to be blamed as much as the squad.
In fact, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 were currently second
from the bottom on the Premier League table.
He claimed the mood in the dressing room was down and the only way to improve things was to secure wins in the upcoming fixtures as the New Year’s period approached.
Samba said while speaking to reporters:
“We are not here to discuss the manager. He is doing his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 and trying to lift us. But the players are responsible - we are on the pitch.
It is our job. It is too easy to blame the manager. We were not good enough. As a team we have not proved we are good enough to stay in the league at the moment.
We are devastated. We are so low. The mood in the dressing room is down.
We have let our fans down a little bit by our performance. We need to give them something to cheer. It was not just the defeat, but it was a bad way to lose.”
