Christopher Samba looking to move away from Ewood Park
Former Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christopher-Samba-c9212 who was only recently sacked off his captaincy is being linked with a move to Arsenal.
The towering defender was stripped off his captaincy, by the team’s new caretaker boss, Steve Kean and as a result the player has gone on to state that he wishes to part ways with the club.
It was previously rumored that the player would be on his way to Tottenham, but with Harry Redknapp publically stating that he did not wish to sign the defender, it seemed like his move to Arsenal was already in the works.
According to numerous new sources, Arsenal want to land the defender in hopes of adding a sense of stability and experience at the back.
Currently, it appears like Blackburn are more than willing to give the player just what he wants by accepting any offer for the player. However, what seems to be halting the move is the fact that Arsene Wenger is yet to make a formal approach for the player.
The manager has already expressed his desire to reinforce his back line and at the moment, it seems like Samba is going to be as good as it gets for the team.
The twenty six year old didn’t take the stripping off very lightly; as he went on to immediately state that he wished to part ways with the team. This is of course only after the player went on to previously express his disapproval regarding the sacking
of Sam Allardyce.
The player is currently being valued in at around eight million pounds by the footballing experts and that seems to be a sum that Arsenal would be able to match, with great ease. This is due to the fact that Arsenal are one of the very few teams to make
a profit this past fiscal year. The player is not currently cup tied in Europe and could easily be brought into the side to help Arsenal try and overcome the colossal task that lies ahead for them. All in all, the signing of Samba could prove to be one of
the better signings made by Wenger, during the course of his stay with the Gunners.
