  1. My friend if you want to learn many things about the Trojan War you should read Homer's  "Iliad" .

The movie "Troy" is a disappointment...it's full of mistakes and cannot be used as a way of learning about the Trojan War !

    Believe me !

  2. The movie sucked, you should read the Iliad.  In the movie the siege of Troy lasts a couple of days, in the book the story begins after a 10 year long siege of the city.

  3. The Iliad is very long, and only about a small part of the trojan war.  There are lots of other books on greek myths where you can learn about the Trojan war.

  4. I havent see that movie but all I know is the war start 1,200 BC ( estimated)

  5. its like a two hour movie or thereabouts.  You should just watch the thing.  Its faster than waiting for answers from YA.  It doesn't follow the events of the Iliad too closely but I did enjoy it all the same.  It was a fun story by itself and I thought Eric Bana did an amazing job as Hector.  Personally, I enjoyed the movie.  Andromache and Astyanax got away at the end and that really made things for me.
