Chrysler 300, Where do these "experts" get their info from?

I just checked the consumer index regarding the fuel economy of the Chrysler 300 and it's only rated at 26mpg freeway. What are they talking about? I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 and it gets 34mpg on the freeway. That's quite different than what is claimed with 26mpg

  1.     sorry to doubt you ,but... this is an eight cylinder car, kind of heavy, is to hard to beleive that you get that mileage, unless... you have a hemi, but you do not specify, other wise... you are taking those measurement wrong, you'll never get,no even close, whatever mileage any manufacturer says their cars can give you and even 26 mpg is high for an eight cylinder on any condition, just my opinion

  2. The EPA tests and rates all vehicles sold in the US using a standard test.  Since everybody drives under different conditions your results will vary.

You must be going very slow to get 34 mpg for such a heavy car though.
