Chuck Edison, Erazem Lorbek, Bo McCalebb: Top players from Euroleague November 10 games
Spanish giants FC Barcelona Regal proved yet again why they are one of the strongest contenders for the Euroleague title this year after they convincingly downed Montepaschi Siena 92-75 in their 4th outing of the tournament. Whereas, in a group B classic, CSKA Moscow stunned the reigning champions Panathinaikos by stealing victory in the extra time.
Here is an overview of some of the most outstanding performances from both the games.
FC Barcelona Regal Vs Montepaschi Siena
Chuck Eidson:
Chuck marshalled the winning team with game high 22 points on a near perfect shooting, including 5 for 8 from the paint and 3 for 3 from the three-point range. It was an all round effort by Eidson, in which he grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 4 assists and stole the ball 3 times.
Erazem Lorbek:
Erazem finished with 17 points knocking down 5 for 7 from the glass and 2 for 2 from the downtown.
Boniface Ndong:
Ndong was only used by Barcelona for 23 odd minutes, but was a major part of their offense and finished with 15 points on a 7 for 10 effort from the field and 7 rebounds.
Bo McCalebb:
Without any ambiguity, Bo McCalebb was the best player for Montepaschi on the night. He scored 20 points on a near perfect 6 for 7 from the paint.
Ksistof Lavrinovic:
Ksistof supported Bo well by scoring 13 points and pulling 8 rebounds however their combined effort proved futile in the end as Montepaschi lost the game by a substantial margin.
Panathinaikos Vs CSKA Moscow
Ramunas Siskauskas:
Ramunas Siskauskas opened the scoring for CSKA Moscow and by the end of 45 minutes; he was the top scorer for the team. He played a vital role in the team’s win and finished with 14 points on 4 for 5 from the field and 2 for 5 from the 3-point range.
Nenad Krstic:
Nenad was outstanding and scored at crucial times in the game. He finished with a double-double, scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Viktor Khryapa:
Victor also made a valuable contribution in the team’s win by chipping in with 11 points.
Kostas Kaimakoglou:
Kostas was easily the best player from the losing side. He finished the game with 13 points on 3 for 4 from the three-point range and 4 for 4 from the free throw line.
Nick Calathes:
Nick chipped in with 11 points on a 3 for 7 shooting from the paint and also forced 6 rebounds along with 3 assists. He supported Kostas well but unfortunately there were no other significant contributions from the rest of the Greek players.
