American UFC legend Chuck Liddell appears in Kia Motors America advertisement – UFC news
Former proud American Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) Charles David "Chuck" Liddell, the brawler who by his awesome feats has sealed his due place in the UFC Hall of Fame, will grace Super Bowl by making a guest appearance in one of its sponsor’s advertisement.
The whole of UFC resonates by the name of two or three men who totally revamped the scenario in the world’s apex mixed martial art promotion organisation. Among those names is the name of Chuck Liddell. Chuck is the only American who has this prestigious
honour of getting inducted in UFC Hall of Fame.
UFC is well known for its hardcore bouts, the brutal submission methodologies, and merciless knockouts; Chuck was the master of all these aspects. Liddell is still considered the most difficult and complicated fighters that UFC has ever had.
The 42-year-old started his UFC career in 1998 and took retirement in 2010. In all these years he underwent 23 bouts. His performance in these fights was so superb that he was nicknamed "the Iceman", a man who is hard to fight and who doesn’t give concession
even a bit to any of his opponents in the octagonal ring.
America is proudly represented in UFC in the form of Chuck Liddell. It is this reason why even after two years of retirement he is still active, not as a brawler but as a guest advertisement personality. The interesting thing is he is casted in the ad as
a UFC brawler.
Kia Motors America (KMA) has decided to promote its new 2012 Optima Limited vehicle in a high priced, heavy duty, and star-filled advertisement. The 60-second commercial will be aired during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLVI.
The advert, in addition to Chuck Liddell also includes other high profile stars such as the famous heavy metal American band Motley Crue, Victoria’s Secret’s famous angel and model Adriana Lima, and bull riding icon and champion Judd Leffew along with few
other supporting actors.
The whole commercial is being considered as a highly paid and invested effort by the KMA management and is meant to promote the idea that even such hardcore men and women also dream of taking a ride in the new Optima Limited.
Motley Crue’s bassist Nikki Sixx while undergoing the making of the commercial admitted that, “A hot model, a fast car, a pro fighter, pyrotechnics and rock ‘n’ roll… What’s not to love?”
The Super Bowl is one of the most epic events in America’s history of national football and will take place on Sunday February 5, 2012. Chuck will be wearing his mixed martial arts gear and will be seen as fighting in a hardcore manner against an opponent,
the style he is quite famous for.
