  1. More importantly than how it is pronounced is the fact that 'our day will come' is an Irish phrase referring to a day where Ireland feels free from British involvement. It's the unofficial slogan of the Irish Republican movement. More often than not it is used in the promotion of sectarianism between catholic and protestants as a way of intimidation.

  2. Correct spelling 'Tíochfaidh ár Lá'!!! Our day will come!

    Close enough Bud!!

  3. LOL this made me giggle too.

The thing about the Irish language is that how words are spelt and how they are pronounced is often very different.

I will think of this chuckie far lar now everytime I hear tiocfaidh ár lá as I am sitting here p*issing myself laughing at my desk at work, my colleagues must think I'm nuts =]

  4. It's spelt Tíocfaidh ar Lá and it's said Chuckie ar law!

It is said Chuckie are law.... I am Irish!

    You made me giggle!!

  5. ^^ Its not "said" Chuckie ar law either!
