Chuiev Elias wins Men’s 100m butterfly title: Day one – 2012 Ukraine Summer Cup
Chuiev Elias of ANW won gold medal of the Men’s 100m butterfly on first day of the 2012 Ukraine Summer Cup in Kharkiv on Monday, May 7.
Elias showered his expertise in the double lap butterfly event as he outperformed his competitors over the finishing end and reached the podium for gold medal.
With his continued efforts in the 100m discipline, he paved his way towards the finishing end for gold medal by touching the wall with the timing of 53.75 seconds.
The champion was followed by Dubrov Dennis of DPR, who stayed just 0.06 seconds slower from overpowering his former finisher and stepped on the medal rostrum for silver medal with the timing of 53.81 seconds.
Third position of the event was obtained by Lemeshko Lubomir of PFA, who was almost 0.40 seconds apart and proved his eligibility for bronze medal by submitting a time of 54.17 seconds.
Subsequently, the third position holder remained nearly half body length ahead of Alpatov Vitaly of VLN, who settled on the finishing end as fourth position holder by reporting a time of 54.80 seconds.
His gruelling efforts remained only 0.02 seconds ahead of Yaskov Andrew of RVN, who appeared on the finishing end for fifth position of the discipline by producing a time of 54.82 seconds.
Sixth spot of the event was secured by D Alexander of DPR, who stayed was 0.58 seconds away from his former finisher and surfaced on the finishing end by clocking a time of 55.40 seconds.
Alexander remained 0.14 seconds faster from Alex Ivanov of LUG, who failed to improve his position and ended his race with the timing of 55.54 seconds for seventh position.
Similarly, Ivanov was followed by Bolychev Theodore of Sticks, who was only one stroke apart and reached the finishing blockade as eighth position holder by clocking a time of 55.66 seconds.
Elias was overjoyed with his tremendous effort in the 100m discipline while the arena also appreciated forceful efforts of all participants.
Furthermore, the position holders were invited on the victory stand for awards and accolades at the medal ceremony of the championship.
