Chun Hei Lee and Ka Long Ng claim Men’s Doubles title at BWF World Junior Championships 2012
Hong Kong’s young and spirited shuttlers Chun Hei Lee and Ka Long Ng showed a great performance on court and claimed Men’s Doubles title at the BWF World Junior Championships 2012 for EYE – Level Cups on Saturday, November 3, in Japan.
In the final battle, Chun Hei and Ka Long showed their top class skills and attacking approach on court and defeated Japan’s Takuto Inoue and Yuki Kaneko who were the fifth seeds in the tournament.
The in-form Chun Hei and Ka Long, who were the third seeds in the Men’s Doubles main draw of the championship, played tremendous badminton and ousted their lower ranked Japanese opponent in just 28 minutes.
Hong Kong shuttlers showed their aggression on court by playing to their best speed and overpowered their opponent in straight sets with a convincing margin on the score board.
The lower ranked Takuto and Yuki, on the other hand, failed to cheer their home fans as they could not create pressure on their Hong Kong challengers and lost the title match without taking any set.
Chun Hei and Ka Long played with excellent control in his shots and managed to take over the pace of rallies from the initial points of first game.
The impressive variations in the shots of Chun Hei and Ka Long assisted them to maintain their domination against their Japanese challengers.
Hong Kong players did not show any mercy to their aggressive opponents in the first half and took a spectacular lead on score board.
After the one-minute interval, the in-form Chun Hei and Ka Long played positive and fast badminton and took the game with an inspiring 21-16 score on the board.
In the following set, Chun Hei and Ka Long remained on track as they did not face any resistance from their rivals and took a decent lead until the break.
After the one-minute interval, Chun Hei and Ka Long continued showing up their staggering craft in the arena and eventually finished up the second game with a 21-17 score on the board.
Chun Hei and Ka Long emerged as victorious in this title battle against their Japanese contestants with a convincing difference of 21-16 and 21-17.
