Rehersals for plays etc do take time especially if the production being put up is in two weeks at the Jacksonville theater. This is a church production involving song and dance.Would it then be irrational or wierd if your spouse is producing this production to be out rehearsing at church on a weekday untill 2 am? Rehersals starting at 7 pm.Considering its a weekday does this sound realistic coming home at 3 am when there is work the next day?

  1. Well it does sound a little unrealistic, but for a believer God comes first and he is always willing to walk the extra mile

  2. No. My husband does community theater and being out until 2 a.m.? NO WAY! 10:30 or 11 may be the latest. This is alarming but I do know that I was always allowed in to watch. So, go and scope it out. If they were going to go out after or to someones place to hang then why wouldn't he just tell you the truth and/or invite you?

    Be concerned!

edit: LOL @ the guy's answers above me - VERY FUNNY!

  3. Ya think??  hmmmm.....maybe you should go there and check it out sometime....

  4. Hmmm....That sounds like a lot of blood, sweat and tears to me. I know such things take time and effort but 3:00 AM? Since sounding distressed about the situation, I think a talk w/ the spouse is warranted, none the less. Someone w/ a lot of responsibilities doesn't necessarily make responsible choices at all times.

  5. If it was the night before the opening, then maybe.  You ought to drive down there and find out what your spouse is really up to.  Or make a phone call and ask the church what time rehearsals are done b/c you want to surprise your spouse or somesuch excuse.

  6. i've gone to church most of my life, and i don't know of any church activity that is going until 2 AM, especially on a weeknight.  there is a good chance that something fishy is going on there.  you need to get some more info before you take any action though.  here are some ideas 1.  check your spouses phone and see if there are any weird text messages or calls corresponding with the "missing time".  2.  do you know anyone else that is in the rehearsal group?  casually drop in the conversation about the ending time of the rehearsal.  you might find out that way.  3.  check the mileage on your spouses car.  do a test run of a round trip to the church.  before your spouse leaves for rehearsal that night, act like you forgot something in the car and check the odometer.  when they get back, sneak out of bed and do the same.   now, a couple of miles extra is one thing.  maybe they stopped at dunkin donuts, or something like that.  however, if there are 15-20 extra miles there, you might want to see if something's going on.

  7. sounds like somebody's getting filled with the holy spirit if  you know what I mean!  In other words it sounds suspicious to me and I would have to question it and maybe even check things out for myself.
