  1. First off, what kind of african cichlids are they? Most malawi cichlids need to have at least a ratio of 1 male for every 3-4 females. Males can get very aggressive towards females when they want to spawn, which having more will decrease the amount of chasing the females get. Depending on the type of africans,  whether they are egg layers or mouthbrooders, will depend on things you should do for them. Most fish won't breed if they are unhappy. Make your fish happy and they will spawn, trust me. Water changes seem to trigger alot of spawns, because it decreases the amount of pheremones in the water and provides healthier conditions. Feed them well, but don't over feed. Without knowing the type of fish you have, I cannot give you any better advice.

  2. Good luck with that. I've been trying for 2 years now. Apparently you shouldn't listen to any advise I have cause it ain't working for me. LOL.

  3. it depends on what cichlids you have, from lake malawi, south american etc.

  4. water changes are number 1,variety foods and also, ph 7.5- 8.2, amm 0, enough dither fish, so breeding female won't take all of the beating
