Cicinho’s future at Roma to be decided in the next few days: Serie A news
The agent of A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cicinho-c9251, has confirmed that he has arrived in the capital to discuss his client’s contract situation with the club.
Cicinho’s future has been surrounded with a lot of uncertainty and the defender is desperate to stay at the club. The right-back has not had best of the times with the Italian side and has spent the past two season’s on-loan at
Sao Paolo and Villarreal respectively.
However, his Roma career has received a lifeline since Luis Enrique took the charge at the club. The new manager has included the Brazilian in his plans for the new season and has asked him to train with the rest of the squad.
The former Real Madrid star has just one year left on his current contract at the Stadio Olimpico Rome and is even willing to take a pay cut to remain at the club. The agent of the former Brazilian international revealed that he
will hold talks with Sporting Director, Walter Sabatini, in the next few days and is hopeful that everything will go well.
Talking to the reporters the agent said, “I arrived in Rome yesterday and I will meet with Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini next week to talk about a contract renewal. The player is happy again and just concentrating on working
hard.”
“He’s also happy with the arrival of Coach Luis Enrique, a tactician who finally knows how to make use of him. We hope to sort everything out quickly.”
The 31-year is hoping to cement himself as a first-team regular in Enrique’s squad and has already chipped in with some impressive performances in the pre-season games. The former Sao http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-c29431 star faces a stiff competition for his

Cicinho joined the Giallorossi from Madrid in 2007 and after spending three years at Rome, he has constantly been loaned out to other teams. He was also part of the Coppa Italia winning side in 2008.
