  1. There are a few conversion kits out on the market today, One being Cierner.

SOme kits work better than ohters in a particular weapon. (the ature of the 1911 beast... some mags work, some dont... some conversion kits do... or don't etc.)

With that said, if dealing directly witjh Cierner... his customer service leaves quite a bit to be desired. If going through an intermediary (like Midway or another major retailer) you may have some support from them that you may not get from Cierner.

the 22 conversion for a 1911 is a nice to have... take a look at a few others before deciding.

  2. I don't have one, but I've heard if you can get one they work well.  You should google ciener conversions, it might change your mind about buying from him, I know there is NO way I'd give that guy my $.  I've read several different things stating that you send him your money and you MIGHT get the conversion in 6 months, probably later and the absolute worst customer service I've ever heard of, but its your money, I know I'd try to buy from someone else, and good luck

  3. While I've never messed with a Ceiner 1911 unit, I've used other Johnathan A. Ceiner products and can assure you that if Mr Ceiner puts his name on it, it's absolute top-of-the-line. His suppressors were extremely effective, and his AR15/M16 conversion units are the best, in my humble opinion. The only .22 conversion units I think would surpass Mr. Ceiners would be original Colt "Ace" conversion units.
