Question:

Cigar smoking, lungs hurt?

I smoked a cigar the other night, about half of one. It was like the 2nd time I ever smoked one. I don't smoke cigarettes and I smoke cigars VERY rarely. Now I don't think I ever will again, because the past two days since I've smoked I've felt winded, achey, and as if I'm not breathing as well as I normally do. Will this go away? Should I see a doctor? Is it possible to get lung cancer from only smoking one to two cigars in your life? I'm worried :(

I appreciate help from anyone!

  1. 1st thing is know that cigars are not meant to be inhaled, they are not the same as cigarettes. It is possible to get lung cancer from never having smoked anything in your life.

  2. OH GOD!

  3. Your lungs are probably just a bit overwhelmed by the amount of soot you inhaled. Generally, cigars aren't inhaled like cigarettes. The smoke is just held in the mouth for flavour. That much cigar smoke probably just shocked your system. It'll most likely dissipate in the next few days. If you're still feeling like c**p after a week, go consult a physician.
