Cigarettes in checked baggage..im underage?

Question

im 15, if i put 3 cigarettes in my baggage thats going to be checked, will i get in trouble or anything?

ps. please dont tell me cigarettes are bad or its not worth it to bring 3 cigs.

they won't take your smokes i had a pack on me when i came to new york  there was no issue.

I'm a smoker (I'm old, though, haha) and have traveled by air lots of times since all the 911 changes.  I highly doubt that those very busy TSA luggage inspectors cross-check luggage with the age of the traveler unless the contents are not allowable by the regulations.  Last I knew, you could put cigarettes in checked baggage.  A lot of airports now even allow you to carry on lighters and matches again.  I wouldn't worry about it at all.

nah, they won't care. Here's what happens at an airport:

You check in and hand over your luggage.

They put it on a conveyor belt and it leaves their site to get screened, once it's being screened they don't care who it belongs to unless they find a bomb in it, then they'll track it back.  So if they see 12 cartons of cigarettes they still won't care.

You mean 3 individual cigarettes?  should be no problem as it is unlikely the xrays will even see them and the inspectors don't know your age when inspecting.

3 packs or cartons?  then you are getting into taxation of cigs in various states and you would be basically smuggling.

You shouldn't get in trouble. It's illegal to sell them to someone underage, but not illegal for some one underage to smoke.
