Cigarettes on the Environment?

Does cigarette smoke harm the environment? Also, does it have an affect on the Ozone layer? Please provide a source. THANKS!

I don't have any sources, but that's a good question.

I'm sure the smoke isn't good for the environment, it's probably just another pollutant.  Even with all of the smokers it probably doesn't even compare to other pollution sources.

Besides the smell (sorry smokers), I really dislike the cigarette buts <had to misspell it so it weren't blocked> that are littered about the ground.  Very inconsiderate.

No, there is no effect on the environment or ozone layer. The small amount of smoke involved is negligible compared to a single car or factory.
