Cigerette commercials?

Question

Is anyone else sick of all the cigerette commercials they all of a sudden have? They are sooo dumb! They make them all into musicals, which I guess it a good idea for all the young teens, but they are really annoying. I think after aaallllllllll the years cigerettes have been around, we understand that smoking cigerettes are bad and they cause so many health problems. The commercials dont change anything because people already know it all!

By the way, people who dont smoke die too!

I just needed to vent about these stupid *** comercials, so.. is anyone else sick of them? Or what are your thoughts on them? Im posting this here because this is the biggest age group of people who smoke!

The thing is not everybody knows how bad they are. It seems like common sense to most people but it&#039;s not. I really like those commericals. I see how they could be annoying... but they have to drill it into people&#039;s heads somehow, right?

I haven&#039;t seen too many cigarette commercials but the ones I HAVE seen make them as if....you&#039;re only cool, laid-back, popular, fun, if you smoke their brand! And I guess whereas years and years ago the commercials tried to get the attention of ADULTS now they specifically want to target TEENS and that&#039;s just sad because no offence, in this generation a lot of us are losing our morals!!

well am really sick of these commercials to tel u the truth and they are expecting others to stop smoking i mean like decide either to smoke or to QUIT!!!!!! what the heel do these commercials really want from us??????

Those anti-cigarette commercials are extremely annoying, as are the anti-marijuana commercials.  Cigarette companies no longer advertise on television (in the US).

i am sick of to people are dying at young ages from people that are smoking. more people die from second hand smoke than actual smokers which i think it is bull. i know someone who started at 10 years old. they are still children. someone else i know that is 13 brought cigarettes to school and left school just so he can have one. and now he is in juvie until he is 18...and the worst part is that both of these children have smoking parents or friends/siblings so yes i am pretty much sick of all of this bull. for every one milk sign there is at least 15 cigarette signs and milk is better for you

Yes I&#039;m so sick of them too! Especially the one about the Itty Bitty Babies, I think it&#039;s just sick, oh and have you seen the new one where they are dressed in the skeleton outfits?? The old truth comercials were fine, but the musical ones are just flat out annoying! We all get the point, smokings bad, I dont need a musical to tell me that! the only thing those comercials make you want to do is light another one up just to tick those annoying people off haha! I dont know I just think their stupid, I&#039;m glad I&#039;m not the only one! also I think the old truth comercials actually made you think twice about smoking, these new ones you dont even want to watch because they are just flat out stupid!

Well i hadnt seen those commercials i seen the opposite here in Nyc this lady from the Bronx in the commercial sayin bout the cause of her smoking made her fingers getting amputated and if she hit the finger her whole hand is gonna get amputated i think idk

I think those commercials are stupid. If you don&#039;t know by now that smoking is harmful than a commercial isn&#039;t going to help. Those commercials are a waste of money.

I&#039;m pretty sure that cigarette advertising was kicked out a long time ago.

You must be talking about the &quot;Truth&quot; commercials...which if you watch it all the way through is an anti-smoking commercial campaign.  They parody and make fun of what tobacco execs say about smoking and such.

And what is your research to back up that adolescents are the largest age group that smokes?

because

cigarettes Ads ar forbidden in TV and radio since 1985, so theres no way you could have seen one, just if u lived in Russia or in iran (only countries without laws against cigs advertisement)

even in Afghanistan cigarettes ads are forbidden

so, dont try to take the peoples attention with your lies
