It’s a battle of the two locals at the Zagreb indoors and both are in good form. This year Marin Cilic hasreached the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2010, has broken into the top 10, defended his Chennai title and is defending champion here. Ivo Karlovic continues to lead the ace counts wherever the 6ft 10in serve bomber unleashes his biggest weapon. This year he’s been a quarter-finalist in Doha, and reached the fourth round at the Australian Open. So who will win? Cilic should have the more rounded game to negate his big-serving compatriot.

The pair have never played each other before on the ATP Tour so there’s no past history to draw on. Cilic is in form, but Karlovic presents a danger match in the quarters. Either way, the fans will walk away happy.
