Cincinnati Bengals’ starting cornerback Leon Hall suffered a major setback in the current season and is likely to spend the remaining season on the sidelines. Hall injured himself during the Bengals’ game against Pittsburgh Steelers
on Sunday.
Initial medical checkups and tests have shown that Leon Hall has torn his left Achilles tendon. Although no confirmations have yet been received, it is likely that Hall would have to sit outside and watch the game as a spectator
while nursing his injury.
He was injured during the game against Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. The injury came off the final drive by the Steelers while the first half near its end. The player was immediately taken to the locker room and treated for injuries.
It was later revealed that initial tests have been performed on the injured Hall with further reports of injury to his Achilles tendon. There were reports that the player has torn his left Achilles tendon and is likely to miss
out the remaining part of the current NFL season leading upto the Super Bowl.
It was only in September that the Hall had got his deal with the Bengals extended. He signed the contract worth $39 million with an extension in his tenure at the club. Out of the total worth of the contract $14 million is guarantee
money. Under the contract, Hall has got an extension to stay with Bengals through to 2015.
Leon Hall, born on December 9 1984, plays as defensive back. He has also played college football at the University of Michigan. He has been with Bengals since 2007, currently taken as one of the leading cornerbacks
Meanwhile, the Bengals cornerback Adam Jones extended his absence for two consecutive games as he failed to join the squad this Sunday. He had taken time off due to a Hamstring injury.
Cincinnati had been on a five match winning streak, which the Steelers snapped this Sunday in their 24-17 victory.
