Cincinnati Bengals host Cleveland Browns on Sunday, odds in Bengals favour – NFL Preview
All odds are seemed set against Cleveland Browns in their upcoming game against their close rivals Cincinnati Bengals as they visit the Bengals this Sunday for one of the most important showdowns in American Football Conference
(AFC) north division.
The Bengals at 6-4 in the league are favourites for this game given the fact that they have won most of the games both sides have played against each other. Both teams have played total 14 games between them, and the Cincinnati
Bengals had been victorious in 11 of them. This includes one game to start off this season, on September 11. If Bengals manage to inflict another defeat on the Browns, this will be their 12th consecutive win.
The track record of Cincinnati Bengals home wins has also remained impressive. They have recorded six wins of seven games they played between them.
Their home games record during this season is even. They have played total four home games this season, winning two and losing two. The Sunday's game against the Browns will be their fifth home game and they are being projected
to win it. They, however, have a better record for on road wins. Having played total six games, they won four while lost two.
Good news for the Bengals will be that their key starter A.J. Green is expected to be back for Sunday's game. He has missed a game and half because of a hyper extended right knee.
"I hope I can be back this week," Green said. If Green is back, he with Andy Dalton can pose some serious challenge for Brown's defence.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns are coming off past week as victorious. They managed to beat Jacksonville Jaguars to end their three consecutive losses streak. It was for the first time in five weeks for them to score two touchdowns,
in the game against the Jaguars. The held the Jaguars at one yard line during final two plays of the game.
The Browns are expecting back their running back Peyton Hillis. He has missed six games in a row due to a hamstring injury. He practiced on Friday and is expected to join his team for this Sunday game.
Another player expected to be included in their squad is Montario Hardesty. With Hillis and Hardesty back in their line-up and Chris Ogbonnaya, who has run his career high of 115 yards, the Browns are expected to give a tight competition
to their hosts.
"I think Chris has been very productive. He's done things for our team that will warrant him playing, at least some, when our other guys come back," Coach Pat Shurmur said. "We'll just see how it goes when they come back. I'm not
concerned about that. That's a good problem to have, when you have a line of guys that you feel good about."
The Browns have played total 10 games this season, six home games and four on road. Like Bengals their home win record is even with three wins and three losses. However, it must be a worrying sign for them that they have lost more
games on road. They played four on road games this season, winning one and losing two.
