Cinque Terre - which town is best?

Of the five towns that make up Cinque Terre which one would be the most interesting to stay in if you are NOT into the whole lying on the beach scene?

the "cinque terre" have very few beaches, as the coast is very high and rocky. however, you the best beaches you can find, even if they aren't very extended, in this area are situated in monterosso. i hope i helped you and sorry if i made mistakes!ciao

Cinque Terre isn't really a "lying on the beach" kind of place although there are some small beaches. All of the towns have their own charm. I usually spend more time in Vernazza and Manarola, but if I stay for the weekend rather than going home, I stay near Monterosso - http://www.portoroca.it/
