Circa 1980 nakamichi tuner amplifier TA-3A

Out of the blue, when I turned it on this morning I got no sound. Normally the power light blinks for a few seconds and then - sound. Now the power light continues blinking and there is no output. It's a beautiful piece of equipment and I hope I can avoid replacing it.
