  1. you, can use any type of knot, that you can properly tie

  2. Airflow and School Nurse are right...The palomar knot is the easiest and strongest...

  3. I almost always will rely on an improved clinch knot as these knots are extremely strong and have very few breaking points, the line will usually give way before the knot will break.    The snell is not for me as It's just to big and to much.  The palomar is another good option as it is certainly the easiest to tie, and generally pretty strong, but it has a couple of breaking points in the knot itself once tied, and the knot will usually give way before the line does.  So I say go with the "Improved Clinch Knot",  as it's been tested true to time, and remains today, one of the most relied on fishing knots in history.

Here's another good site with a bunch of great knots explained........

  4. Use a Palomar knot.  It is very easy and very strong.

Don't forget:  With circle hooks you shouldn't set the hook.  When you get a bite, simply raise the rod tip and let the fish set the hook.  If you try to set the hook, you will lose the fish.

  5. I would use the Palomar knot or the trilene knot.

The snell knot will take up too much space on the hook shank, ive also used the uni-knot on circles, all on the above link, which is in animted form to help you tie them.

  6. yup

  7. Improved clinch~
