Alright, so here's the deal...

I got a video camera for Christmas, but I am completely blind

when it comes to electronics(weird for a 13 year old...?) lol Anyways, I was curious if I went to Circuit City and asked someone who, obviously knew how to use it, would help me...? Like just talk me through(step by step) on how exactly you use it. I mean I get what button to press to record and everything, but all the little details confuse me.....it's also different for me because it's the kind with mini DVD things, rather than tapes....so I don't think you can even delete the videos. So....do you think someone will? I just don't want to walk in and sound stupid for asking about that, ya know? Also, if they did, do you think they'd charge me for it??

This is the video camera, if that matters....

  1. They have a Geek Squad that will be glad to charge you for their time.  I would suggest you read the manual even if it is done a few pages at a time.  Go through and highlight the sections that apply to your model.  You should be able to get DVD-RW or DVD+RW disk that can be rewritten.  The + units are different from the - ones and have different operating parameters.  The problem with Circuit City employees is they are so low paid they cannot afford high end products and inventory changes so fast that they might know how to turn the units on, but that is about all.  I purchased a Sony DVD unit and it took three days to get a decent understanding.  Still need to go back and review a few areas again, and will probably will always need to consult it for special shots.

  2. Have you tried the Canon support site for your camcorder??
