  1. You either have a short circuit (which is why you have circuit breakers), or the breaker is bad and opens the circuit too early.  You should have that circuit checked to make sure you have no electrical problems.

  2. Whatever is connected to the circiut is shorted out .The breaker could be weak and defected but less likely.Try disconnecting items one at a time to narrow the problem down.If everything is disconnected from the circuit and it is still doing it ,the breaker could be bad.

  3. Sounds like you might have a shorted circuit. Check for damage in the circuitry and unplug everything and see if the breaker will stay reset.  Did you just complete a project that could have caused a short..A long nail driven into the wall to hang something could have damaged a wire in the wall. Drilling into a wall and not knowing if there is an electrical wire there could be the problem. If you still haven't located the problem remove the breaker and take it to the hardware store and buy an exact replacement with the same amp rating. Try that at home and if it trips  take it back to the store for a refund and call a local electrician and find out what he is going to charge you for a service call and then his hourly rate.  Shop around for a reasonable cost for service. Take no chances with your do it yourself angle.  You do not want to burn your house down.
