  1. Learn to use a voltmeter before you kill yourself.


  2. Sometimes breakers look on but are actually off. Turn it fully off, then back on.

    If that's not it, there is a loose wire, or a main breaker or something else. Call an electrician or your power company.

  3. 1. Did you pay your electric bill?

    2.  Did you call the power company?

    3.  Is the power off in the whole house or just in one area?

    4.  Did you replace the entire breaker (it could be faulty...flip it a few times)?

    5. Is the outlet that's out a GFI?
