Circumcision in the UK?

How many British guys do you know who are circumcised? I'm just trying to figure out exactly how common it is there.

Jewish men and, I'm told Muslim men and some people have it done from preference. It is not traditional  in Christian communities.

Looks like the answer is 15%.It is largely confined to Jewish British guys, plus a few others.

I'm a Brit and I'm not circumcised.  I know nobody here in England that is.

We don't talk about it much anyway.

The national average is about 15%. But this includes older men who were more likely to be circumcised. Circumcision was somewhat popular in the UK decades ago (not nearly as common as in the States). But today, boys are generally not circumcised in the UK unless they are of Jewish or Muslim descent. The circumcision rate among newborns is down to about 3% in the UK.

I believe the statistic is just under 4% of British males are circumcised nowadays.

About 12% I believe.

More among the older generation, and only 3% of boys under 10.

Of the men I have 'come across' so to speak, about 1 in 6 have been circumcised, and they were all done for medical reasons later not as babies.
