  1. You should put up play full decorations so nobody breaks it. For the colors you should have not just red and white have red, white, green, blue, black, purple, etc. For the food have hamburgers and hot dogs normal BBQ food  don't have like a big cotton candy machine or a big popcorn machine if you don't want to spend to much money just use popcorn seeds and put theme over the stove or buy microwave popcorn. For the cotton candy just buy it from the store and to make it more carnival like you should buy tickets

give it out at the bigging of the party and and they have to buy the food and games with the tickets i hope it helps!!!

  2. For a huge variety of themes and decorations.. simply visit:

  3. make the theme colors red and white stripes - like a carnival tent!

get all the things red and white!

the food could be hot dogs and BBQ types of thiings!

    and for dessert cotten candy....

it rlly depends on the ages of the ppl who are showing up at the party but u can also

do little contests like who can jugle the longest or how many candys are in the jar and whoever guesses gets to take it home..

    cute stuff like that

or maybe even watch a movie!

teach them how to make cotten candy!!!

    good luck!

    and have a great time!

and everyone can dress up like a clown or just in a funny outfit!

  5. not sure how old the guests are?? If this is a kids party there are some great carnival party ideas on the site: www.celebrationideasonline.com..go to family fun and scroll down to the carnival birthday link.. games, party favors are in this article. If you want outfits.. you could have your carnival barkers in striped shirts.. or clown outfits,,, Food should be just like you'd find at a carnival.. hot dogs, maybe sausage and pepper sandwiches.. you can rent popcorn and cotton candy machines.. you can even rent carnival booths.. good luck! Carol

  6. For food: cotton candy, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, snow cones - all the circus/carnival food. Bright colored decor. And check out this months issue of PARENTS magazine. They have a whole article on this theme of party!

  7. I LOVE this theme!!

I agree with the first poster, I would do things in red and white just like carnivals.  I would do red and white balloons and streamers to make it festive, BUT I would make the sweets area in pink and white, and then break it up and do blue and white and yellow and white, etc.  You can do the food area in yellow and white, games in red and white, and then crafts to do blue and white!

For food, I would do yellow and white and have  yellow and white balloons and streamers and have:

    Hamburgers

    Hot dogs

    Corn dogs on sticks

sausage and peppers with onions on rolls

    Corn on the cob

For sweets, I would do pink and white balloons and streamers.  Set up cotton candy, popcorn, and an ice cream bar!  Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings.  Sprinkles, rainbow of course, chocolate syrup, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and marachino cherries and have everyone make their own sundaes.

You can do a crafts area and have that the blue and white area!

You can kits and do sand art, there are  kits out that come with the bottles and the sand, you can get them in any crafts store and they are NOT expensive, you can buy two or three of them, then do finger painting and other crafts.

Then for the games, you can do red and white.

For the games, you can do:

Relay races, potato sack races, three legged races, etc.

Pie eating contest, but instead of pie, fill the tins with whipped cream and whoever finishes first, wins!

You can set up a ring toss

Throw the ball into a container, whoever gets it in on the first try or 2 out of 3 wins!

If you can afford to, rent a bouncy castle, the kids and adults will love it and everyone will have SO much fun with it!

You can also rent sno cone machines, cotton candy machines, etc.

For outfits, I would have people dress the way THEY want, make them be comfortable.  If you and the rest of the hosts throwing the party want to dress as carnival people, that would be fun, but your guests should be able to come as they want and be comfortable.  You can dress in black shirts and a red vest with red hats.  It will look really cute!

Make sure to have little prizes and balloons for the little ones! You can even give out the balloons that are the decorations at the end of the party.  They won't care, they'll just love having the balloons!

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party!
