Question:

Circus Idea?

At our grocery store we have themed sales, our biggest event is the circus sale. We have a big parking lot party for customers and I am trying to get some input on some ideas that we could do... that are reasonable in cost. Last year we had a jumping castle, cotton candy, and a dunking booth. This year I already have ideas of doing a water balloon toss and maybe some other things. Do you have any suggestions or ideas on things that we could do?

  1. What a great fun question !

You could get one of those guys that paints kids faces (like animal faces ect), they dont cost you anything because they charge customers direcly.

I dont know if you have them where you are but here in the uk you can hire them pretty cheaply a 'Punch & Judy' puppet show act, kids go crazy!

What about one of those 'Guess How Many' jars, you know, a great big jar full of something (say- glass marbles or gum balls ect), people pay to have a go at guessing how many is in the jar and at the end of the day whoever is closest wins a prize or the jar full of stuff? (+ it keeps them there all day if they've paid to have a go)

Egg & spoon race is always funny, or in the uk we have 'Welly Wanging' contests- you have to throw a wellington boot as far as you can ! (why...?)

Cant think of any more off the top of my head but its sure fun thinkin of ideas!  will let you know if I can think of a realy super cool one...

Good luck & have great fun on the day !!!

Oh, yeah... The smell of freshly made doughnuts!

  2. A pie throwing contest!
